Description: |
The OEM Sales Account Manager will have ownership of both new and existing OEM clients in a new and rapidly growing business unit with the company. The Account Manager typically handles larger or more complex client accounts where technical experience in the field or in a related area with high volume sales would be beneficial.
Job Responsibilities:
• Direct communication with the customer addressing their questions and supporting the business development activities (including technical inquiries, RFQ’s, service questions, new business inquiries, etc.)
• Manage customer relationship at all levels (including corporate)
• Travel to visit new and existing customers (may include international travel)
• Communication of customer needs back to the organization and execution of action plans to address such needs
• Continually evaluate opportunities and help drive efforts toward highest value customers
• Work with distributors, sales reps and internal sales resources in support of the customer
• May work with marketing and product development teams to implement new product initiatives to support clients
• Help to identify and develop strategic relationships within targeted markets and with sales channel partners
• Sustaining and renewing customer contracts
• Provide sales forecast and support manufacturing planning
• Work with engineering and R&D resources to develop project proposals and then execute on the plans
• Travel is expected 25% - 50% of time. ½ will be international.
• Project leadership, active participation in project work, and technical leadership in problem solving

The position is expected to use their experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, lead and direct the work of others, while performing a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Degree in engineering and at least 8-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Defined, demonstrated success in sales leadership roles.
