Job Description:
This is a senior position reporting to the General Manager, responsible for the engineering and technology department consisting of approximately 100 people (4 direct reports). This person will act as the Chief Engineering and Technology Officer. He/she will lead and advance a full value stream of electro-optical products, systems, components and technology design, and, production organization which includes: product design from concept through transition to production; manufacturing process and equipment engineering; technology development and integration into applications. This person will execute and further develop the business' strategies and business models involving a wide range of electro-optical products, optical system designs, optical assemblies and components and technical support of their production. Skill Sets:
Basic Qualifications: • BS and MS degrees in Engineering or Science. • At least 10 years of engineering and technical experience with optics or photonics in areas such as optical design, optical coatings, electro-optical (EO) system design, optical materials, photonic devices and structures, manufacturing processes and equipment for optical components and EO systems. • At least 10 years of engineering or technical management experience in the optics and/or EO industry. Candidates must have existing DOD secret clearance or ability to obtain one upon hire.
