Description: |
Our client in New England is experiencing rapid growth!
Optical Design Engineer responsibilities include specification development via customer and/or systems engineer interface, schedule development, optical design, tolerancing, documentation, presentation, assembly planning, validation planning, and troubleshooting as required. Wavelengths of interest are currently VIS and NIR/SWIR. Hands-on approach, and both independent and team centered skills are essential.

Requirements:
• Related BS with 20+ years of direct experience
• Solid understanding of optical mounting and assembly practices
• Systems/Product experience required
• Zemax required.
• Knowledge of lasers
• Experience with telescopes very helpful.
• US citizenship
